Tender for hypermarket tenant in superregional shopping and entertainment center “Ocean Plaza” had been completed.


Hypermarket under real,- brand which is the part of “Metro Group” has been chosen as an anchor tenant in the shopping and entertainment center “Ocean Plaza”, construction of which is being proceeded at address 17b Antonovycha street, Kiev. 



 

The Tender was conducted by Scheme developer, “K.A.N. Development” and exclusive Agent consulting company “Ukrainian Trade Guild” (“UTG”). 12 applications of Ukrainian and International operators were submitted in total. Specialists of “K.A.N. Development” and “UTG” have provided detailed analysis of such potential candidates’ characteristics as operator’s experience, its image in Ukraine and worldwide, quality of services provided to the customers, quality of goods etc. In accordance with all requirements under consideration, brand real,- has received the highest appraisal. In “UTG”’s opinion, this operator could prove announced high level of “Ocean Plaza” better than other candidates. Mutual interest to participate in tender was confirmed by Letter of Intent signed in August 2010. 

 

Due to preliminary agreement achieved by the parties leasable area of hypermarket real,- as a part of shopping and entertainment center “Ocean Plaza” will be 10,5 thousand sq.m. 

 

As it was commented in marketing department of “K.A.N. Development” on results of hypermarket choice: “Hypermarket – is one of the basic flow generators in the frames of the scheme. As a rule, it accounts for 50-60% of customers of the total amount of visitors and it plays one of the main roles in tenant-mix formation in the mall in general. Thus, the main criteria of choosing an operator of “Ocean Plaza hypermarket zone was quality side and financial attractiveness of rent offers. “Metro Group” is highly experienced and known. Also they will be able to provide service level due to high quality standards of the shopping and entertainment center “Ocean Plaza”. Hypermarket real,- as a part of “Ocean Plaza” mall will become the first project under this brand in the capital’s center.
